Sony May Be Discussing Letting Go Of ‘Spider-Man’ Film Rights
Comic book fans have long speculated what the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be capable of should the rights to Spider-Man find themselves under the Marvel/Disney wheelhouse. Sony Pictures has [understandably] held on tight to the Spider-Man film rights for over a decade now, producing a trilogy of films starring Tobey MaGuire while currently overseeing the production of the second in a new series of films currently underway in New York City.
But could their possession of the Spider-Man film rights soon change hands?

‘Pacific Rim’ Featurette Explores Sci-Fi Premise of “Drift Space”
A new featurette for Pacific Rim has been released, showing off some previously-unreleased footage from the film as well as interviews with both the cast and director Guillermo del Toro. Most importantly, however, the featurette delves into the concept of “drift space” – the futuristic application of having two individuals form a neural connection in order to control the massive Jaegers that we’ve seen in the trailers. It’s this “drift space” technology that allows former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) to lead the legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger known as “Gipsy Danger” against the alien creatures known as Kaiju.

Microsoft Announces Live-Action ‘Halo’ TV Series From Steven Spielberg
Microsoft made some big announcements earlier today during the press event where they unveiled the company’s next console, the Xbox One, but another very exciting piece of news was the announcement that a new live-action Halo TV series is in the works. Not only is this a big deal in itself, but the project also carries some serious star power with it as Microsoft confirmed that the series will be created in partnership with 343 Industries and director Steven Spielberg.

Concept Footage Revealed For ‘Gran Turismo 6′ Racing Simulator
Sony Computer Entertainment has released a brand new video featuring concept footage for Gran Turismo 6, the highly anticipated racer from Polyphony Digital. While details on the next installment in the Gran Turismo series have been scarce, the upcoming title is set to introduce a new course maker on top of the 33 courses already included in the game and will also include over 1200 vehicles (all of which can be customized) for players to take to the streets.

Disney Announces ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Animated Series Coming Soon
Disney has announced that they are developing a brand new animated series titled Star Wars Rebels, which will attempt to fill in the timeline of events that took place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Aimed to replace the fan-favorite Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, the upcoming project is currently scheduled launch on the Disney Channel before moving to Disney XD in Fall 2014.

Full-Length Trailer Released For ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’
Warner Bros. has released the first full trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins, the upcoming prequel to the critically acclaimed Arkham titles that came before.
