Geoff Johns Comments on ‘Suicide Squad’ Video Game

Commenting further on the Suicide Squad video game that was announced back in 2010, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns recently spoke with Kataku and shed some new light on the development of the game.

As many fans are already aware, Suicide Squad is a current book that’s part of DC’s ‘New 52′ relaunch, currently being written by Adam Glass. The book follows a team of “expendable” supervillains who have been employed by the US Government as a covert black-ops strike team and work alongside them with the understanding that they will receive full pardons for their crimes upon completion of their service.

“We’re working on Suicide Squad; it’s in development right now,” Johns reveals. “I’m really super excited about it. Because of the concept, you have a game where any of the lead characters can conceivably die and it’s not a stunt. Some really cool story could come out of that.”

Johns once described the upcoming title as being “hardcore violent” while at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con…BRING IT ON!
