In a strange new twist that should probably be taken with a grain of salt, the folks over at Time to Play magazine have posted a video review of one of the many toys to come out of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, The Bat, which may reveal a new clue about the mysterious vehicle. You may recall the numerous set photos of this new vehicle taken over the course of filming where onlookers lovingly dubbed it as being the new Batwing. As more and more photos began to surface, fans began to deduce that the vehicle was a hovercraft of some type as the later photos of the vehicle clearly showed off moving engine parts, fan blades, etc.
Now, in Time to Play’s video review, we get a closer look at what could be PROPELLERS on the underside of The Bat, making it much more of a helicopter-type vehicle than anyone had suspected earlier.
You can check out the video review below.
The Bat is an interactive and action-packed toy based on the new movie The Dark Knight Rises. The Bat features the geometric design of the flying vehicle seen in the film. With the spinning propellers on the bottom, kids can pretend to “lift off” and “fly” the vehicle by holding the handle on top. The cockpit opens up and seats one Batman QuickTek action figure (sold separately) or most 3.75-inch action figures. The Bat also features two launching projectiles and realistic battle sounds. And by pressing the button on the handle, kids can launch the special Launch & Attack Batman action figure out of The Bat, sending it flying up to nine feet away. To launch the figure, pull back on the bottom lever. Slide in the Batman figure on the track. Close the lid and press the button, and the Batman figure will zoom out. – timetoplaymag.com
Granted, this is just an action figure vehicle so there may be no such propellers on the big screen. Still, it’d be quite a treat to see some CGI propellers on this bad boy (Batcopter?) when the film arrives in theaters on July 20th.
