Dear Cyclops, Nightwing Wants His Costume Back

I know it shouldn’t irk me as much as it does, but I can’t seem to get over the uncanny (no pun intended) similarities between DC’s Nightwing and Cyclops’ Phoenix costume from the Avengers Vs. X-Men event. Granted, it’s not the end of the world but it’s enough to make me question some of the original ideas that Marvel COULD have explored in creating the new costume for Cyclops.

Wardrobe nitpicking aside, what do you think of the AvX event so far?

    Cyke’s costume looks leagues better, IMO.  Nightwing in red doesn’t really work for me in the least.

    It’s a bird, how many other options are there? And yeh, Nightwings should be Blue.

      I agree, the change to red is not as nice of a color scheme, and it feels like change just for the sake of change.

    I agree but there was a pic DC did that had a slight hint that Nightwing could kick a few marvel charactres face in .lol.guess this is there way of saying try it.lol.but I agree it is not good to copy or at least my teacher always said

    Weird! Nightwing and Cyclops are my two top favorite comic book characters.

    Nightwing as red is way better, its more appropriate to his age now than baby blue haha. red is simply just more badass. and the phoenix cyclops could have been gold. but what new costume isnt just another rip off, off of another costume anymore.
