Microsoft kicked off their E3 2012 press conference with one hell of an introduction, showing off the first trailer and gameplay footage from 343 Industries’ upcoming Halo 4, the first in a brand new trilogy starring Master Chief. The live-action trailer sets us up four years after the Convenant war has ended and is immediately followed by some amazing looking gameplay footage that easily made the Halo 4 presentation the strongest of the new games shown at the Microsoft event. In addition to showing us how much the graphics have improved over it’s predecessors, we’re also treated to a glimpse at Master Chief’s new visor display and some of the new weapons he’ll be packing on his side.
As if the footage wasn’t enough, the closing graphics revealed the release date for the next installment of the Halo franchise, November 6, 2012. Another treat that fans were shown from the first non-Bungie developed Halo game was the brand new multiplayer mode called “Spartan Ops” which you can see footage of below.
