With only a few weeks away until the launch of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, High Moon Studios has released a brand new trailer giving fans a taste at the multiplayer gameplay, which includes 10 new maps, and the character customization tools that will be featured in the game. Unlike its predecessor, you will not be able to play the campaign online with friends. Instead, a new multiplayer horde mode has been added called Escalation Mode. A team of players will work through waves of enemies unlocking weapon upgrades as you progress.
Every kill, hit, and assist is key in helping you buy more ammo and access to other areas. In addition, the game will now feature a regenerative system. Players will also have the option of building their own unique Autobot or Decepticon with some of the most advanced customization. After deciding on one of the four basic templates (Scientist, Infiltrator, Destroyer, and Titan), the player can chose from hundreds of pieces and thousands of paint job options.
The follow-up title will allow the player to man their machines from a third person perspective, depicting the final darkest hours of the civil war between Autobots and Decepticons as they battle for control of their dying planet, Cybertron. As Game Informer states, this game “changes and improves upon so many of the fundamental ideas that the developer considers the game a natural successor rather than a true sequel.”
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron hits store shelves on August 21st and is now available for pre-order on Amazon!
