‘Robocop’ Promo Banner Reveals More Of Redesigned Suit

Arriving on the heels of some of the first photos to surface from the set of José Padilha’s Robocop (filming began yesterday), Cine1 has just posted a new promo banner for the upcoming remake that seems to confirm the look of Robocop’s newly redesigned armor.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

    I actually dig the suit. It reminds me of metal gear solid, batman, iron man etc. Which imagine that, are all awesome things. It’s a modern take on an 80′s movie, of course they are going to make it sleek and black. I am optimistic and will wait and hope its better than some of the other remakes of 80′s movies like Total Recall.
