The CW has released three new stills from an upcoming episode of Arrow, which give us our first look at another new threat straight from the pages of the comics; the Royal Flush Gang. The introduction of gang adds to the growing (and impressive) list of rogues gallery villains that already includes Deadshot, China White and Deathstroke.
First introduced in the pages of “Justice League of America” back in 1966, the playing card-themed group of supervillains have long been a fixture in the DC Universe and will now be making their live-action debut in the sixth episode of Arrow, titled “Legacies.” Within the upcoming episode, sources have stated that viewers will get their first peek at the villains who orchestrate “a major bank robbery, with a crowd of hostages eventually leaving the building … wearing playing card masks.”
“The Royal Flush Gang was the most outlandish villains from the comics, but they turned out to be our most grounded villains,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “The relationship that Oliver has with King, the leader of the gang, we’re really proud of it.”
Beginning last month, casting reports began to come in that both Kyle Schmid and Currie Graham had been cast as Royal Flush Gang menders Ace and King, respectively. It still remains to be seen who will be cast as the remaining members of the group, including Queen, Jack and Ten.
The debut episode of The Royal Flush Gang, “Legacies” will air November 14 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell, Colin Donnell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson and Paul Blackthorne.
