Several new photos have surfaced from the set of Iron Man 3, currently filming in Florida, which show off some some fantastic peeks at two of the new armors that audiences will be seeing on the big screen. The new shots reveal the Mark XLVII armor that was first unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2012 as well as the much-talked about Iron Patriot armor that we now know will be an updated version of the War Machine suit first donned by Don Cheadle’s character, James Rhodes.
Filming resumed earlier this week after Robert Downey Jr. spent time recovering from an on-set injury that occurred last month in North Carolina. The production has now set up shop in Dania Beach, Florida where they’ve built the “Neptune’s Net”, a phony beach-side restaurant that may or may not become the location of a future action scene judging by the armors on set.
Directed by Shane Black, Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Ashley Hamilton and James Badge Dale and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 3rd, 2013.
