Andy Kubert Will Guest-Pencil on ‘Batman’ #18 in March

DC Comics has announced that Andy Kubert will be stepping in for regular “Batman” artist Greg Capullo to illustrate issue #18 of Scott Snyder’s hit series. Joined by inker Sandra Hope, who will be stepping in for Jonathan Glapion, Kubert will oversee the return of Harper Row. The mysterious female character was first introduced in “Batman” #7 and later went on to assist Batman in defeating Tiger Shark in a one-shot story included in issue #12.

Scott Snyder reportedly has plans to further incorporate Harper Row in the Batman mythology, beginning with Andy Kubert’s guest-starring issue. The book will also include a back-up story written by Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV, which will be illustrated by Alex Maleev.

Regular “Batman” artist Greg Capullo will resume his duties with when issue #19 arrives on store shelves in April 2013.
