Activision has released a brand new trailer for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, the upcoming game that follows characters Merle and Daryl Dixon from the popular AMC television series. Developed by Terminal Reality as a first-person shooter, the game will allow players to assume the role of fan-favorite survivor Daryl Dixon as he fights alongside his brother Merle through the zombie-infested Georgia countryside. Both of the actors from the hit TV series, Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, will be lending their voices to the game, which will serve as a prequel of sorts to the events we’ve seen on the show.
Players will need to tread carefully throughout this grim adventure, as resources are scarce and hope even scarcer. From scrounging for weapons, food and water to surviving encounters with the undead and the living, gamers will have to use their wits to stay alive in this terrifying, post-apocalyptic world. Do you risk using stealth to go in close for a quiet kill, attack from a distance and hazard attracting a swarm of walkers, or avoid the battle and live to fight another day? Helping survivors can bring benefits — but can you afford to trust everyone you meet? Every path, every action, every choice has a consequence. At the end of the world, no place is truly safe.”
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will arrive for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 19 and March 26 for the Wii U.
