Marvel Gives Ghost Rider A New Ride For Upcoming Series

Marvel has released two different covers for the first issue of their upcoming Ghost Rider series from writer Felipe Smith and illustrator Tradd Moore. The new title which will be branded under the Marvel NOW! banner and will feature an all-new Ghost Rider, high school senior Robbie Reyes, who will also be sporting a brand new vehicle in place of the iconic motorcycle we’ve all come to associate with the demon rider; a Dodge Charger.

Writer Felipe Smith had the following to say about the new character in a recently published interview with Comic Book Resources.

“Robbie’s an East Los Angeles high school senior with a short fuse and a passion for electronic music and absolutely anything powered by an engine. In comparison to previous Ghost Riders, he’s young and inexperienced in life; but his harsh inner city upbringing, overall distrust for most people, and serious contempt for his violent surroundings make him the perfect host for a Spirit of Vengeance.”
