CBS has released a new full-length trailer for Under The Dome, the small screen adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling science fiction novel first published in 2009. The first episode of the series is written by Brian K. Vaughan and will be directed by Niels Oplev Arden (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), telling the story a small American town that suddenly finds itself surrounded by a strange and other-worldly invisible dome that effectively isolates the town from the rest of the world.

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when—or if—it will go away. Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens—town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician’s assistant at the hospital, a selectwoman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing—even murder—to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn’t just short. It’s running out.

Under The Dome premieres June 24, 2013 on CBS and stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy and Aisha Hinds.

Unveiled in the August solicitations for comic book releases, Marvel has revealed that a new 4-issue mini series called “Hunger” is on its way from writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and artist Leonard Kirk. The upcoming mini was previously solicited back in July under the name “Age of Ultron” #10UC before receiving a name change in the latest round of solicitations.

The teaser that first arrived for the series back in April presents a backdrop of outer space with the words “Hunger” overlaid in purple font. Given these combined elements, it’s very likely that we may be getting a tie-in featuring the iconic Marvel villain Galactus.

Warner Bros. has released yet another explosive new trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, revealing a ton of new footage from the upcoming monsters vs. robots sci-fi epic!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke and is expected to arrive in theaters on July 12, 2013.

Warner Bros. has released the first official teaser trailer from the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Origins, showing off an awesome cinematic fight sequence between Deathstroke and the Dark Knight!

Arkham Origins will take place long before the events in the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City titles, focusing on a less-experienced Batman as he runs up against the supervillains of Gotham City for the first time.

Batman: Arkham Origins will arrive on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on October 25.

Titan Comics has released a brand new trailer for “Razorjack,” an upcoming collection by John Higgins – the colorist behind such classic titles as “Watchmen” and “Batman: The Killing Joke.” Originally published by Jack Publishing in 1999, “Razorjack” combines many of the trademark elements that gave both Lovecraft and Cthulhu stories such a strong cult following and combines them with elements of that could have come straight out of a “Law & Order” episode.

A sequence of bizarre events create an unstable nexus that enables the death-bitch, Razorjack, and her twisted handmaidens the opportunity to finally break through into our world the most important dimension of them all The Core Dimension. Three college kids inadvertently create the opening from the alternate universe of The Twist Dimension and become a focus for the evil that is Razorjack. Maverick cops, Frame and Ross, are assigned a disturbingly horrific multiple-murder case which draws them into what is potentially the final battle between good and evil.

The “Razorjack” collection will arrive on September 18, 2013.

Marvel has released a promo for the special one-hour sneak preview of “Avengers Assemble,” premiering on May 26 while the first episode will debut July 7 on Disney XD’s Marvel Universe block. The upcoming series stars Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man, Roger Craig Smith as Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Troy Baker as Hawkeye, Laura Bailey as Black Widow, Bumper Robinson as Falcon and Fred Tatasciore as Hulk.

“Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” reunites the most popular super hero team — Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow, along with newcomer Falcon, marking the first time in animation history this distinct team of heroes will join forces. Video game developer 5TH Cell held a special press event earlier this week where they announced the upcoming Scribblenauts spin-off title, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. Billed as an emergent puzzle action game, Scribblenauts was originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2009 where players were challenged to solve a variety puzzles by selecting one of a thousand objects in the title’s inventory simply by writing its name on the touchscreen. This unique form of gameplay is getting a superpowered facelift by including an array of DC superheroes for A DC Comics Adventure.

And when we say array, we don’t just mean a dozen or so characters from the DC Universe, we’re talking everyone…EVERYONE.

“We have the DC Comics characters… all of them,” said Caleb Arseneaux, a producer at 5TH Cell. Reporters at the press conference remark that they notice such obscure characters as Bloodwynd, Bulleteer, B’wana Beast, Mogo, Matter-Eater Lad and even G’Nort, the Green Lantern dog! Areseneaux boasts that the title currently has over 2000 characters in the game, all of whom can be summoned to help you complete various missions. Players in the game will be able to control Maxwell, the main character in Scribblenauts Unmasked, after he gets dropped into the DC Universe and begins to encounter both heroes and villains across a wide selection of iconic comic book backdrops. Many of the challenges that Maxwell will face are called Heroic Feats, which are a combination of quests and puzzles that pop up throughout the title and reportedly make up the bulk of the gameplay.

The game will also feature a editor that will allow the user to mix and match superpowers in order to create their own unique super hero (or villain).

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure will is currently being developed for the PC, 3DS and Wii U platforms.

A brand new still from Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Pacific Rim has been revealed via the official Twitter account for the film, appearing to depict a museum exhibit with a Kaiju skull on display. Kaiju is the name given to the monstrous extraterrestrial threat that humans will face off against while piloting giant mechs called Jaegers.

Universal Pictures has released the first full-length trailer for Riddick, the upcoming third entry in the popular sci-fi franchise starring Vin Diesel.

Riddick, the latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga that began with 2000’s hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick reunites writer/director David Twohy (A Perfect Getaway, The Fugitive) and star Vin Diesel (the Fast and Furious franchise, xXx). Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick, a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy.

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
