A Comic Shop Presents A Comic Show – Week of 4-2-14

Hey Fandom, I’m back with New Comics Now! This week I have a lot of All New Marvel Now that I’m enjoying including Moon Knight, Magneto, and She-Hulk. Charles Soule’s Inhuman delivered with Joe Mad’s character designs. I’m digging the new Inhuman concept even though the guy named Dante’s code name is Inferno. Spider-man’s OGN Family Business is here by Waid and Robinson with art by Dell’Otto! And Carnage vs Deadpool #1 was melt your face off crazy for fans of either character.

IDW Entertainment Announces Television Deal With Entertainment One


IDW Entertainment has announced that they have entered into a partnership with eOne Television, opening the doors for a wide range of programs to be developed based on the publisher’s original properties. Announced earlier today by IDW Entertainment President David Ozerand and eOne Television CEO John Morayniss, the new deal with allow the two companies to co-develop, co-fund and co-produce original programs based on IDW’s properties with eOne and IDW being able to fund the projects with the goal of bringing “direct-to-series commitments” for both network and cable television.

AMC Releases ‘The Walking Dead’ Poster For Season 5


Following the final record-breaking episode for Season 4 of The Walking Dead, AMC has already released the first official poster for Season 5. Featuring a solemn Rick with his gun drawn, the poster carries the tagline “Survive” while possibly hinting at a comic book character’s introduction into the series.

Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis and Sandrine Holt Join ‘Terminator: Genesis’


THR has reported that actors Byung-hun Lee (Red 2), Michael Gladis (“Mad Men”) and Sandrine Holt (“House of Cards”) have all signed up to star in Terminator: Genesis, the next installment in the Terminator franchise. While all actors have signed on for undisclosed roles, reports are circulating that Lee has been cast in a “key role” for the upcoming sequel directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World).

Patrick Brennan Joins ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ As Blackout

Marvel has revealed that actor Patrick Brennan will soon be appearing on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” where he’ll be taking up the role of Marcus Daniels, better known to comic book fans as Blackout! Brennan has confirmed that he’s signed for at least two episodes of the ABC series beginning with the 18th episode, “Providence” as well as the followup episode.

Chris Carter Developing ‘Area 51′ Television Series For AMC

AMC has announced that Chris Carter, creator of “The X-Files,” will soon be returning to network television with a brand new series tentatively being called “Area 51.” Carter will serve as both a writer and executive producer on the AMC series which will serve as an adaptation of “Area 51: An Uncensored History of America’s Top Secret Military Base” – the New York Times best-selling book by Annie Jacobson.
